North East

To the North East of Saskatoon you will find area S7. This consists of Aberdeen, Corman Park, Cudworth, Prud’Homme, St. Denis, Vonda and Wakaw. The main commuter town is Aberdeen but I also wanted to mention Vonda as it appears to be growing as well.

Aberdeen

This small town (just over 500 people) is approximately 40 kms from Saskatoon. This is mostly a farm and a commuter town and there is one school which educates students of all ages. Aberdeen is a tight knit community that is a great place to raise kids, as long as you don’t mind the commute.

You can find a curling rink, skating rink, community hall, auto body shop, CIBC bank, grocery store, bakery, café, library, insurance agency, and a Sears pick up.

There are a handful of homes available for sale and a few acreages. Bergheim Estates is also in this area and one can find some immaculate new homes being built for 2007/2008. A Saskatoon real estate agent can keep you up to date of any new listings that come up in this area.

Visit the Aberdeen real estate market page to find out more information on the current market as well as additional information about the town.

Vonda

Vonda is a small, but vibrant and growing town about 35 minutes North East of Saskatoon. There are about 300 people who live here and there are 2 schools; one is French and one is English and they both go from Kindergarten to Grade 12. There are a couple of churches, a skating rink, a public library, numerous shops including a hair salon and spa, a chiropractor, Co-op, hotel and bar to name a few of the things Vonda has to offer.

Vonda is policed by the local RCMP. When looking to buy in Vonda you may want to give yourself some time as, being a small town, there aren’t a lot of properties for sale at any given time. The Vonda real estate market is heating up however so it is important to work with a real estate agent so that you are able to act fast with new listings that may come up.

Visit the Vonda real estate market page to learn more about the current market in Vonda as well as more information about the town.
